Called Chas Roberts for my AC problem because they are the "designated" warranty subcontractor for our AC unit when we bought our house. I was told over the phone that since the full warranty has expired, we now have to pay for the initial service fee of $85 though the parts will be covered by the warranty. We agreed. When the service guy came, I explained to him the problem and he seem to figure out what seem to the cause. After a few minutes of check up, he told me that the capacitor was bad and the unit is low on refrigerant. I figured since the capacitor will be covered by the warranty, I only agreed to have the capacitor replaced. What we weren't told is that there is a charge for installing that capacitor. This wasn't disclosed to us when we called them initially. I believe I ended up paying more on the installation than the part itself. I would rather use other honest and fair company next time.
