We were looking to just get estimates for a project - shopping around. We felt very pressured to commit from the salesperson, even though we literally requested a FREE estimate and weren't ready to start a project. Overall, we thought the project was waaaayyy overpriced and weren't even shown any catalogs of options. He didn't even go outside to look at the area we wanted worked on and missed an electrical outlet that would possibly have to be removed - wouldn't this cost us more?? Salesperson just wrote down a number on a piece of notebook paper and passed it to us thinking we'd just accept the offer. Old sales tactics were used - he had to "call and see if his manager can help the numbers" and offered us a $300 rebate. After, I asked for a SEPERATE quote for two windows to be replaced, he said they could do the original project, PLUS the two windows, for the original price. That's not what I asked for.... Also you're telling me that two of your VERY high-quality windows are worth $300? Just old-school door-to-door salesmen tactics... You're not selling vacuums or knives, you're selling windows...change your sales pitch. Talk to me like a real person and show me a catalog with pricing options. He also implied that if we didn't commit that day, he wouldn't get credit for a future sale. A guilt trip!? Not my problem - get a different job where your pay is guaranteed. Thought it was a little overkill when they called 3 times a day, for days, after filling out an form online. Same thing after they visited our home. If I'm interested, I'll get back to you. I hate, hate, hate companies that operate like this and tell their salespeople to be this way. Window nation isn't the only company that does this. We got a quote from another company and the pitch was almost identical. We're not stupid; stop thinking I'm gullible. Your (extremely overpriced) quote is a sham. Buyer beware!
