The facility is very clean and the desk attendant is nice. That's where my positive comments end. From a health care perspective.... what a huge disappointment. We are new to AZ and didn't have a PCP when we both came down with severe respiratory issues-- so we sought care here based on positive Yelp reviews. Both my spouse and I were misdiagnosed at HealthFirst UC, though we presented a few days apart, with the same symptoms-- and we were treated by different medical staff. The doc (or PA) who treated me even joked a about violating HIPAA privacy by sharing my husband's medical info with me-- totally unprofessional. (I ultimately figured out what was wrong with us by Googling our combination of symptoms.) My husband was VERY ill... and after 3 visits here (he never improved, just got worse), I finally persuaded him to go to the Banner Gateway ER. He was admitted and required days of inpatient treatment to begin what appears to be a long road to recovery-- which likely would have been less severe with earlier diagnosis. Don't waste your time or your money here-- just go to a reputable ER and get the treatment you need. I sure wish that's what we had done.
