My first time seeing the owner Celine/Monica was a great experience. I came in on a Tuesday morning with my sister. I usually see Hannah but she was on vacation at the time. Celine was aware that I see Hannah normally and said she'll do my nails. She did a great job and told me when I come back for my refill to see her. So I did... Man was I dumb for doing that. It seems celine is only good when she is not in a rush. On my second visit I had a 3pm bio refill, manicure and eyebrow appointment but arrived at 215pm so I could get a regular pedicure done ahead of time. At 230pm Celine decided to take a client that was doing a full set acrylic! I was very upset because i know how long itll take to complete and that would runover my apponitment time...but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she would work fast... The tech working on me was done by 3pm. I ended up waiting until 345pm!!! Then she tried to talk me into getting rid of some of the services I requested because she had another client at 430pm. I laughed and said if I had to wait so can your next client, I'm going on a trip and need these services done. Her next client arrived at 445pm and Celine was still working on me. She was rushing herself, my nails came out chunky, I asked for a manicure (cuticle cleanup) and she did a horrible job, clipped me a couple times as well, the color I wanted she didn't even use, instead she used a color that I hated and I told her that plenty of times and she just kept saying, "no it looks good." I asked for coffin shaped nails and she gave me square and I also got my eyebrows done-- which she ruined as well. Now one eyebrow is thinner than the other. I called her two days later to tell her how unhappy I was and she told me to come in that same day and she will fix it. I arrived at 6pm. She reshaped my nails and changed the color but had the nerve to ask me to pay for it. I did not and will not pay her for anything ever again. I am writing this review because not only did I endure all that nonsense, but 2 days into my vacation, 3 nails broke/cracked!!!... Very painful and one of them even started to gush out blood. when i landed in Toronto i called celine immediately. One of the other nails started gushing blood while in flight!! When i spoke to her and told her what happened her response was "well, i had another client after you, so i never did a refill." I was outraged! I paid $100 for a bio refill, manicure, pedicure and eyebrows, and she never even gave me a refill?! Why did she make me pay for it then?! I lost it... I am so turned of by "Monica's Nail Salon" and with Hannah quitting, I will definitely never go back to that place again!!!!!!!!
