Sometimes when I've had a hard day at work I like to walk over with some friends, drink Richards Red and have fun. It's super easy to get to: 3 minute walk from the Marlborough Ctrain station.
Even though its in a sketchy part of town it's always been a nice expierence, you'd never know you were in forest lawn.
The lanes are nice, well kept and there's no paper counting! Not in the Northeast - it's all computerized and on screens and stuff for all you who care :) easy to use and I recommend taking a trip back to grade 5 and writing dirty words as screen names - - - - or is that just us? ;)
Cheap beer - $15 a person per lane. Kinda pricey I find, back home you can rent a full lane for $20 // but its close and we always have fun when we go.
However, that being said the staff always act like they hate their jobs. When you approach the lady to buy another lane she acts as if your bothering her. I always send my husband up -
Just don't go into "let's bowl" hoping to strike up a conversation with the employees.
