My heart just broke when I saw the Ultrasound on my German Shepherd, Nikita. She had a cancerous tumor which burst and was bleeding internally. On the advice of TWO Vets, they advised me that the most humane thing would be to put her down. Awful words to hear as she was my rock, my companion of 10 years. We had gone through so much together. I wanted one night with her and the easiest gift I could give her was a peaceful transition. I called Dr. Kristin Lawmaster who was the BEST! Dr. Kristin is gentle, kind and explained the whole process in lay person's terms. I felt completely comfortable hugging my Kita close and allowing her to go in her own place here at home.
