So I just ran into the Pet Club on 40th and Thomas to get some food for my puppy. I'm weaning him onto another brand of food and needed just a little more to complete the transition. My puppy is 10 weeks old and I've discussed his new food with my vet and the proper process for weaning. I proceeded to get a lecture from the 17 yr old boy working there on how I really need to do research on what I feed my dog. When I explained to him that I had already had a discussion with my vet on his new food choice he went on to tell me that a lot of vets are just compensated by certain food brands. What I heard? You're not putting enough thought and care into what you're feeding your dog. I found it quite insulting. Will never go back which is a shame because I like to support the smaller businesses, but I also don't need to be guilted about what I choose to feed MY dog.
