This is a fabulous dental practice. I have been a patient here for at least 10 years; they have an interesting approach to patient care in which patients make an appointment with a hygienist for a cleaning then you see whichever dentist is available to stop by your chair for the subsequent dental exam (although the staff does ask you if you have a preference). Dental chairs have beautiful wooded views through large windows and the office environment is very peaceful. I am a nervous dental patient and they are very accommodating to my need to constantly reapply chapstick/vaseline to my lips throughout my cleaning. My recent cleaning was with a water method that went very quickly and painlessly. Once I discreetly asked if I could switch hygienists and was assured that this was no problem and Rita helped me select another hygienist whose style was better for me. The dentists are top notch, trained at UNC and I was even told that Dr. Patel graduated first in her dental class there. The front desk staff is personable, friendly and sympathetic when needed; when the office is closed an on call dentist calls back within 30 minutes to address emergencies. Overall, the practice has reduced my dread of dental visits dramatically.
