My family took me here for breakfast today 9/13/15. See my yelp review for Charlston's yesterday which was 5 star. This was my first encounter with Matt's. It was for my birthday as was Charilston's yesterday. Unbelievable! Are you nuts? Almost, not quite an HOUR wait on the street???????
And then, when we get in there, NO ice in the water? No lemon slices for our "free NO ice water". And, NO salsa for the potatos????? We asked the waitress to break down the bill (11 of us) and she said they will not do this. HO HO HO. NEVER AGAIN!! Finally NO regular white bread toast??? This place is a joke. I spent a dollar extra for a BIG piece of burnt ham steak. I wouldn't do this for TJ's out on Avondale south of Van Buren which is truly great!!! If you're on the West Side, go to TJ's. If you're on the East Side, try Mircle Mile on the the weekends for breakfast or the Bisbee Cafe on Dobson and Guadalupe.
This place is way the hexx overrated..
