WHY this place is popular is beyond me.... Maybe i'm being too harsh but holy sh*t. You're gonna charge me $5 bucks cover on a Friday AND give me no place to sit AND turn up the music so high I leave with a massive migraine. I don't know why you have to pay cover just to sit at the bar. Why not charge me if I wanna go to the dance floor? Or if there's a band?
The space is so tight, the chairs are uncomfortable and hard as hell, the tables are wobbly, the crowd is a WEEEEIRD mixture of mega hipsters (i'm talking beards, lumberjack jackets, wool hats, ripped pants, etc etc) and really prissy girls in sequined gold short shorts and 6 inch pumps....just weird.
I didn't feel comfortable here at all.
All the beer on tap is stupid craft beer. I HATE CRAFT BEER. Ended up drinking Beau's which is actually not too bad, but it's very bitter and tastes like it should be 7-8%.
Also, the music. SO. LOUD. you cannot talk at all. it makes zero sense and i'm so pissed about this. obviously if I am sitting on the bar end and not on the dance floor, surrounded by my friends, I WANNA TALK TO THEM. I ended up spitting most of the time I spoke because I had to scream, hence just kinda sat quietly. At the table. AWWWKKKWAARRDDDDD.
I wouldn't come back here again....in case you haven't figured that one out. Service was nice and i heard the mixed drinks were STRONG as hell so kudos to you, have 2 stars.
