After being in New York last year and not having time to pass by the Milk Bar. My fiancé was disappointed we didn't go when we recently saw chefs table season 4 and milk bar happened to be episode one. So when traveling to Toronto we were happy to have found they had a smaller version of it. The milk bar in Toronto is a small cooled clear glass room with shelves packed with pies and cookies. It's basically a self served area so you choose what you want and pay later(at the cashier downstairs). We happened to go into it and found they had crack pie available and a few cookie flavors. The pie and cookies weren't all that grand. I feel it was more of a hype of the location. The cornflake chocolate chip marshmallow cookie was better than the compost cookie for me at least. I'm not a fan of the salty kinda taste in my sweets. The crack pie was okay it was a bit to buttery maybe because I heated it up a few second on the microwave. The ice cream with cereal flavor was definitely something different. The ice cream with the crushed corn flakes on top just wasn't what I was expecting. It's pretty bland to my taste buds at least. I will say that if I'm New York again I will go to the main location and try them out again. It could have been the fact everything was pre packaged.
