"Beware signing up for a personal trainer. I did not read what I signed but chose to ask questions instead like how do I cancel if this doesn't work for me. I was told that I could give 30 days notice to cancel. Well that is not exactly true. I was never told that I was signing a 3 month binding contract. My first training session cost me $ 105.00. ( I thought this covered at least 2 but was told no, there was a $60 start up fee, wow!) The session consisted of 30 minutes with the trainer showing me machines and equipment, handing me some free weights (in an over crowded weight room), and then showing me some abdominal exercises. The nutritional information I was given appeared to be excerpts from The Zone Diet. Over, done. I tried to cancel immediately. This began a two month back and forth over how much I owed. The end result was my paying them off to get out of this contract. The following is a list of the inadequacies of this gym:\nStaff lack knowledge, and cannot answer many questions confidently\nGym equipment is often in disrepair and takes awhile to get repaired.\nEquipment is not wiped most of the time after use (the trainer asked why I wanted to wipe down) the cleaner bottles often are either empty or do not work\nThe free weight area is often so packed that some take the equipment out onto the floor to find a space to work out which then crowds those using the machines\n\nI am frustrated and angry and just want others to know unless you have the dollars to spare you will be better off steering clear of the personal training agreements here (amounts to $45 per half hour workout). I have found that there are several other quality trainers and programs that cost less.\n\nLastly, my best advice is READ The ENTIRE AGREEMENT. Do not rely on the expertise of the staff. It is nonexistent.\n\nSince posting this morning, I received a response from Matthew P. Please let me correct a couple of points he remarked on.\nI attempted to cancel 3/26/18 with Blake who asked me to stop be his desk after my workout. I did so and he was gone. I again stopped and spoke with someone, Cody maybe on 4/2/18, your notes on my account should reflect this. He informed me that Blake did not cancel the account but he pulled up some forms for me to stop auto debit and I signed then under the impression that this was the end. Did not happen and later in the month I was informed that I owed money for personal training. I then had a long discussion with Peyton who, in the end, told me that he would 'wipe' the account. Imagine my surprise yesterday when I was being hit up again for additional fees. Sorry Matt but all you have done today is make me angry all over again. This is what I mean by no one there seems to have the facts straight. Vivienne told me today after collecting another payment that this is finally cancelled. I now have 4 unused sessions for a total of $180 that I have to decide what to do with. Lesson learned, thanks a bunch. I will be sure to pass my experience along to others."^^ . . . "0"^^ . "0"^^ .
