Well, if you live here, I would recommend you do that because just calling the leasing office to have your questions answered will get you inaccurate information and cost you money. I moved out 3 months prior to my lease ending because I bought a house, but found it would cost more to break the lease then simply paying for 2 dwellings. First of all, I found it unfortunate that they would not allow me to break the lease without such an exorbitant fee due to the situation, but can't fault them too much since many places are similar. The problems began to arise as I called with questions about my move. I specifically called to ask if it would be ok to cancel my electric since I no longer lived in the apartment. I asked because I know some places dont allow this. Joe, one of the officer managers informed me that the electric would go back to the apartments name but I would still be responsible for paying for usage for the fridge. Well, that seemed reasonable to me. Never did he mention a $25 fee per month for this. It may say this in the lease, but I felt that calling the actual leasing office would also get me accurate information. I did not have a handy copy available and proceeded with canceling my electric based on the information Joe gave me. Later, I found I was charged this fee, and despite explaining what had happened, they did not take any responsibility for offering inaccurate information and refused to reverse the unfair charges. \nA second phone call was made several days prior to my March rent payment being automatically withdrawn from my bank account. I only owed for 8 days in March before my lease ended and wanted to inquire about how much would be withdrawn. My budget is rather tight paying both rent and a mortgage, and I wanted to ensure adequate funds in my account. Joe gave me the amount for 8 days of rent. Now, I had provided the information that I had a direct payment set up. At no point did he inform me that automatic debits automatically take an entire month's rent, even if the lease is up. So much to my surprise, a full months rent was withdrawn from my account which clearly causes me some financial hardship. When I asked it promptly be returned, I was told it would not be until after the final walk through. I find this almost criminal for them to hold on to my hard earned money for this long that they are in no way entitled to. \nIt saddens me that I am being forced to write a quite negative review. For the most part, I enjoyed this complex. I did request that the leasing office return the electric fee and promptly reverse the extra rent payment. They refused and even got slightly rude on the phone. I have not yet received the amount of the $750 deposit I will get back, but hopefully that does not give me another reason to write negative comments. I am still hopeful that the managers will realize they made a mistake by charging me an extra fee for electric and I can change this terrible review to something more positive.\n\nOne other thing I very much disliked about living here were the options for cable and Internet. Rather, lack of options. You are forced to use century link. I dislike that company and since they know they are the only option, customer service and prices are subpar.\n\n3/16/2015 It is now about a week after my lease has ended and I received a check with the combined payments of my refund for the extra rent payment and deposit. I received only a check. No explanation or invoice of charges for what was taken out of my deposit. Joe was not willing to tell me what the charges were and stated \"something will come in the mail in a couple weeks\". When I brought up the electric issue he denied not informing me of the fee and said I should have asked for a copy of my lease. Again, I feel that calling the leasing office to obtain leading information should be sufficient. He then became condescending commenting on my ability to read. If you have made it through this review so far, I hope you believe I am literate and do not have any issues with the written language. I will never recommend this apartment complex to anybody. They simply want your money and have no regards for decent customer service. Especially when they know you will no longer be a resident."^^ . . "0"^^ . "0"^^ .
