I love Cafe Boulud but since they aren't open for lunch, this is the next best thing (literally, since they're adjacent inside the Four Seasons and share the Boulud touch).\n\nOur server John raved about the fresh gnocchi ($19/29), but he said they weren't able to accommodate a substitution for the pancetta in it. Sad face. But the meat-eaters at our table who had it were very impressed.\n\nThere were plenty of pescetarian options, including the lobster salad ($32) that I ordered, another one of our server's highly recommended items. I wasn't blown away but it was good! My friend really enjoyed her lobster roll ($29), which she scarfed down in about 6 seconds, so maybe I should have gone with that.\n\nBeetroot risotto ($21/29) was delicious and perfect as a shared appetizer. Though their butter service - I mean, bread service - is so plentiful and good, you might not get around to the apps.\n\nPortions aren't *large* but they're just right. Lovely service and a great, bright, comfortable space.\n\nBONUS/DOWNSIDE (not sure which): It's a haven for d-bars. The backwards baseball cap-wearing bro at the next table ordered a $18 hot dog and then proclaimed, \"It tastes like a hot dog.\" Made my day."^^ . "1"^^ . "4"^^ . .
