"#customerservicefail\nI went in on an admittedly busy long weekend, in search of a new pair of shoes. Here's the conversation I had with the salesman:\n\nMe: Hi, I need new summer shoes that offer extra-good ankle and arch support.\n\nSalesman: What about sandals?\n\nMe: I'd prefer something that laces up.\n\nSalesman (measures feet): You're a big guy, you need a 13 1/2 (normally a 12).\n\nMe (half thinking he just insulted my weight): I'm a little surprised by that.\n\nSalesman (brings $450 shoes): These are larger than your normal size, because your orthotics take up space.\n\nMe: They don't really do the trick. What about these other ($200) shoes?\n\nSalesman (brings something different): Try these (walks away before I'm done lacing).\n\nMe: I'm not sure about these either...\n\nSalesman (brings a different pair of $450 shoes, also too large for my feet): Try these (walks away).\n\nMe: They're too large.\n\nSalesman: I'm surprised you don't like them.\n\nMe: I think we're done."^^ .
