"We took our 2002 Chevy S-10 in. The vehicle was not starting, and I used the ol' Hammer trick to the starter to get it to work. When the starter is going bad, if you hit it with a hammer it may temporary free it up a bit, so that it works and starts the car. This will not last. You should replace the starter as soon as possible, so that you do not get stranded and have to pay a tow bill. The hammer trick will work sometimes, but it will not always. My wife took the vehicle in, and explained to them that the starter was going bad and needed to be replaced. They call her the next day and say that the alternator needs to be replaced. We pay $400 dollars for the alternator to be replaced, are 4th time in the car we go and start the car and what do you know same thing does not start.\n\nIts obivious that they did not take in consideration what was being told to them. Now we got to take the car back in, and probably have to pay for a new starter (which we wanted in the first place). Overall, not pleased with the problem not being properly assessed and not being fixed. Same thing happened with a different vehicle but I will not go into detail on that one for the time being. Hopefully they will cut us a break when fixing this, we will find out soon. If so my review will be altered."^^ . "0"^^ . "1"^^ . . "1"^^ . . "2014-07-22T00:00:00"^^ . "3"^^ . .
