I was reluctant to go that second time, because I did not have a good experience the first time around. To my surprise, the menu had changed and the meat selection was definitely an upgrade. And the best part is dinner is only $22!!!!! You won't find another AYCE KBBQ place that serves kalbi for anywhere near $22!!! \n\nHere my list of Gen's Greatest Hits:\n\nGen premium steak - oh so tender and juicy, might be my favorite item.\nkalbi - well marinated, tender, and very tasty.\n\ncajun shrimp - i'm not sure what the cajun seasoning blend is, but i do \nknow it is delicious\n\nspicy baby octopus - smothered in kochujang sauce, these ocotop.odes were scrumptious and not too spicy. i highly recommend this item.\n\nbulgogi - sliced thicker than what I prefer, the meat was a tough and put on my never order again list.\n\nchadol - thinly sliced brisket that melts in your mouth. a must have item.\n\nKFC - korean fried chicken was a bit disappointing. tasted more like orange chicken from panda express than KFC from other korean joints.\n\njapchae - this one is ok. A bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but a descent appetizer choice.\n\ngyoza - i admit, i love me some friend dumplings. Especially when waiting on meats to cook, it is nice to have a cooked item to munch on.\n\nsoondoboo - thoroughly disappointed in this dish. The broth was ok, pretty tasty actually, but they used the wrong tofu!!!! You don't put firm tofu in soondoboo!!!!!!!!!! Everyone knows that!! You use the soft, silken tofu!! Duh.\n\nIf the soondoboo and kfc were better, I'd give this place 5 stars. As it stands, I can only do 4. Also, I don't waste my time with pork or chicken. I only go for beef and seafood. For the price, service, atmosphere, and quality of food, Gen is no doubt my #1 choice for AYCE KBBQ place in Vegas."^^ . .
