. . "My partner and I stayed here for my birthday weekend, and from the moment we got there to the moment we left, it was a great experience! \n\nWe ended up getting to Vegas very late after a long drive from California, went to eat a small, sad little birthday dinner while exhausted at Hexx at Paris Casino, then hopped back into the car for the 30 minute ride from the strip to the hotel. We finally checked in around 130am, and met the awesome night auditor named Von(Vaughn?). He was super friendly and efficient about our check in. In fact, when I mentioned that it was my birthday, he even comped us the resort fee for both days of our stay! The valet that night was also really nice, although I didn't catch his name, and not only assisted us to the room, but came back to the room to bring us a fridge when I thought we didn't have one. (P.S. The left hand side of the dresser that looks like three drawers? That's actually a door which holds a mini fridge inside FYI, definitely felt like an idiot on that one)\n\nThe hotel had emailed me to ask if I wanted to upgrade our room to a suite for a pretty decent deal, so I upgraded and let me tell you...it was worth it. The room was beautiful, with a small bedroom alcove, a large bathroom and living room area with very nice little Morroccan details and a small balcony leading out to a very pretty view of the lake. Oh, and that Heavenly Westin bed? They call it that for a reason guys. The bathroom was comfortable(trust me, you don't notice this until you get a room with a bathroom so uncomfortable you'd rather use the public restrooms in the common areas), and the room had a nice little vanity mirror area with a very pretty ottoman seat. \n\nEnough about the room already Adrienne. Ok, jeez guys.\n\nThe rest of the hotel is stunning, and has a little of everything for everyone. There's mutiple restaurants for different tastes and wallets, and a host of activities to try out. \n\nWe ended up going to Rick's cafe, which is best described as casual upscale(oxymoron, I know), and offers some pretty unique dishes. Joey, our server was very personable and took the time to get to know us. Julia, a gal at Sansabar, which is by the pool, also made sure to take great care of us despite a very hectic rush. \n\nExploring the hotel, we also realized that it was VERY family friendly and decided we would be back to bring our own children. There are lawn games, three pools, a playground, movies by the pool, free kayaking, the list goes on and on. Oh, AND they're PET FRIENDLY!\n\nFor the adults, there are the aforementioned restaurants and bars on site, an adjacent golf course, water sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking, the lovely Mandara spa, the pools, and a shopping village not too distant away. That's only the things I can think of off the top of my head. \n\nWhen we were ready to check out, we got that same consistent friendly, efficient service from Erika(Erica?), and were pretty sad to leave the hotel, but happy and satisfied with our stay and the memories we had.\n\nI know I've left out so many wonderful things and people about the hotel, but I'll put that in my next review when we come back for our family vacation! ^_^v"^^ .
