I have been a loyal customer with them since 2010 for both car and renter's insurance. The weekend of October 8th, my region experienced excessive rains due to the hurricane activity on the Atlantic Seabord. Unfortunately, my car's sunroof did not hold up well during the storm, and the morning after I got in my car to find that the headliner carpet was soaked through and the water was dripping on to the floorboard. I had not experienced any sunroof leaks before this, and this was clearly related to the extreme weather conditions. As a conscientious car owner, I did everything I could to minimize the potential for ongoing damage. I opened up the sunroof to clear any debris that might be slowing down the sunroof drains. I took the car in to the local detail shop as soon as I could and that is where the nightmare started. For the past two weeks I have been given the run around by Progressive. I have spoken to multiple representatives, all of whom have given me different reasons for why my claim is being denied. One person told me they denied it because the leak could not be replicated by the car shop, but I have read over all 48 pages of my policy and there is no exclusion I can find that would exclude me because of this. One person told me that they could not see any water stains on the headliner carpet and that was why they denied it. One person told me it was because they believed the mold was an \"ongoing issue\" and not related to the weather leak. I have no idea how this is a reasonable claim, as mold grows extremely quickly, and the car is basically a hot box while it sits in the shop waiting to be fixed. \n\nAll I want is for my company to cover the water damage to my car caused by this weather event. I want to stop getting the run around, I want to resolve this matter with the company and I don't want to have to resort to only other thing I can think of, which is getting my rights protected by the VA Commission of Insurance. Please somebody in this company: take care of your loyal customers and stop giving me ridiculous excuses for why you won't cover water damage from a weather related event. \nClaim # 162653175"^^ . .
