Today I decided to take a risk and try a different place. I've read many good reviews about Gondola, particularly Andy and Tina. I called for an appointment late this afternoon and was able to get one with Tom.\n\nGondola is in a small neighborhood plaza, and the parking lot was packed!! I almost didn't get a spot. But that's probably because I hit it around dinnertime and there are several restaurants in the plaza.\n\nWhen I walked in, I was greeted immediately by the two stylists, who both had customers in the chairs. Another lady was waiting, she told me she'd been going there a few years and was very happy with her stylist (Andy), but that they all do great work.\n\nWhen Tom finished with his customer, he asked me to have a seat. He asked me what I wanted done today. Since it was my first visit, I opted not to go with anything too different. I'm a bit limited as to what kind of styles I can wear--my hair has become rather fine and thin from thyroid disease . He carefully examined my hair texture, and did the cutting very thoughtful and methodically. I really liked that he wasn't in a rush to get the job done.\n\nAnother thing I liked about this place is that the stylists weren't working on their customers and \"yap yap yapping\" at the same time to the other stylists. (My old place did that a lot!). These guys gave their full attention to the customer.\n\nI think Tom did a really nice job. The total including tip came to $20. That's an amazing price for a nice cut!! \n\nThanks to the crew at Gondola, especially Tom. I'll be back."^^ . "4"^^ . . . . "3"^^ .
