We are leasing our vehicle from Drive Time, (originally got it from this location) and we've had it since July of this year. The car seemed fine for the first 3-4 months. In mid-November, we started to notice a STRONG smell of fuel whenever we shut off and parked the car. Due to our vehicle being a lease, we have a warranty provided by an outside company that Drive Time offers. We called Drive Time's warranty company \"Aeverex\" and let them know about the issue. I am going to save you all of the frustration that dealing with Aeverex has caused me over the last 5 days. Just know that we have a broken water pump causing the car to leak, a cracked fuel pump, and I needed two brake pads replaced. The cracked fuel pump is EXTREMELY dangerous and our car could have literally caught fire had someone flicked their cigarette underneath us. I call Drive Time to tell them about the fuel pump and explain how upset I am that they had me riding around in a death trap with a 3 month old baby. With no explanation given, Drive Time tells us to call Aeverex again to let them know about the fuel pump. Aeverex tells us that there is a recall on it; therefore it needs to be towed to a Chevy dealership to get fixed. Meanwhile, our car has already been sitting at a shop for 2 days getting the water pump and brakes done. Apparently Drive Time leases cars with active recalls on them, instead of fixing these things prior to putting them out on the lot. The car gets all the way to the Chevy dealership and it has now been sitting there for 3 days! There is now some sort of discrepancy between Chevy and Aeverex. Aeverex says there is a recall, Chevy is saying that there isn't and Aeverex is responsible for repairs. While these two companies take days to decide who's going to pay, my personal tab is racking up! I paid a $100 deductible to have the water pump fixed. I've missed two days of work because of the hassle of needing to physically be places to sign paperwork. I am $575 in the hole now (including my missed days of work and a tow to the dealership) and the least you think Drive Time could do is help with a rental car. I've spent $300 on a rental car because I haven't had any means of transportation for the last 5 days. DRIVE TIME DOES NOT SUPPLY NOR EVEN HELP with rental cars while THEIR leased vehicles are being repaired. On top of everything else, my car payment is now due. They expect me to pay $199 every two weeks for a vehicle that I can't even use right now. They will NOT work with us on the car payment. They had us driving around in a car dripping fuel, and nobody showed even a bit of sympathy for the situation when I called in. We pay way too much a month for a used car without ANY of the basic inclusions that a normal dealership would provide. Not even a \"We are sorry for your inconvenience.\" I feel so bad for previously recommending this place to friends. I will not recommend in the future to anyone! Please stay away from the Drive Time Lease Department and Aeverex."^^ . "0"^^ . . "1"^^ . . "3"^^ . .
