I was told that my timing belt was extremely worn and was in need of immediate replacement. I was quoted $1000-1200 for the job and was persuaded to open a credit card account to pay the balance. Funny thing is that my timing belt was replaced less than 10k miles ago at the dealership. Upon getting a second opinion at the dealer, they confirmed that the belt was in perfect condition, and that the water pump that Rad Air suggested I replace at the same time had also just been replaced with the timing belt less than 10k miles ago. Out of curiosity I called the Conrad's down the street and they quoted me 400-600 for the same job."^^ . "0"^^ . .
