"I stayed here for one night in the cheapest room last Saturday, because they gave it to me for practically free, and given how crummy the average rating was, I really thought I was going to have gotten what I paid for ($34, i.e. just the \"resort fee\"). I was very pleasantly surprised. Now, granted, this was *only* because I got a sweet deal - it does absolutely feel like a cheap hotel still, and the casino area feels dingy and old, but if you're only here to sleep, you only have to walk through the casino area for a few minutes. \n\nThe room itself was... pretty nice, really. It had a comfortable bed, a decent amount of space, a perfectly functional shower, a perfectly functional toilet, a perfectly functional AC, the wifi worked and was reliably fast enough to do things on, nothing was notably dirty or dusty... I had no complaints. It was clearly not a luxury room, but I've seen much worse. There was even an online checkin and checkout system, so you never had to deal with the checkin line. \n\nObviously this would depend on the price, but I was worried I'd be sorry staying there even for the price I paid, and absolutely not - I'd stay here again in a snap if I got a good price again. (Obviously I can't make any guarantee that my room was normal - maybe I just lucked out, in which case, I'm glad I lucked out.)\n\nOnly major complaint right now, which may have factored into why I snagged an almost-free Saturday stay, is that they're doing some construction on the convenient walkway between Excalibur and NYNY, which means you currently have to walk all the way around to MGM and then cross on the other side of the street (or at least that was the case last weekend), which is a pain - hopefully they finish that soon."^^ . .
