Be that as it may, Friar Tuck has a decent selection of craft beer, wine, and spirits with several other things like soda, cheese, cigars, homebrewing ingredients, and glassware. They also sell coffee and it is that upon which I will focus. I'm no coffee expert but I do like the two decaf offerings. The sign says to ask staff for coffee. That says to me, \"We don't trust you on your own.\" May be a good idea. The coffee grinder is situated on a high shelf so that many of the staff are barely able to reach the filler part. It is also apparent that some of the staff is clueless as to how to use it. Today I went in for coffee. The young man, alone at the checkout, came to \"help\" me. Disaster. His attention was divided between my coffee purchase and the people lining up at his register. Not being in any rush, I told him to tend to the customers. When he returned, he filled the bag with coffee and went to pour it into the grinder. I reminded him to weigh the bag, as I have seen others do. He could not figure out the scale at first. He finally endeavored to pour the beans into the grinder. Apparently someone had left the machine filled with beans and everything spiled over. I asked him to please grind out what was already in the hopper and start anew. Again, he was looking towards his register as more people were lining up. Looking completely flustered, he said he would call someone to help me as he had to return to his register. He used his walkie-talkie to summond someone who said he would be right there. I waited, thinking how I could have done the process myself and been finished long ago. I waited and no one came, so I walked out. I will have to return, since I was given a gift card and like their coffee. Since coffee isn't a priority at Friar Tuck, I doubt anything will change in that department nor will this review matter to most people. To me, it is an example of poor customer service. With Binny's in town now, Friar Tuck needs to up its game. Customer service has to replace customer disservice."^^ . . "0"^^ . .
