I awoke this morning with a terrible crick in my neck and not wanting to spend all weekend without being able to turn my head in pain, I turned to good ole yelp for help. The first few places I called were all booked up :( I found this place under the listing for Ocean Spa in the mall. They apparently have opened a new location. It's tucked away in the corner a few doors down from Planet Fitness (and the same strip mall that has Pier One at the far end). \n\nUpon walking in, I almost walked back out. No frills you may ask? Uh no. Not even close. This is the opposite of frills. And the first impression was only the start. You sign in on a clipboard and choose strength, body region and time. Prices and options are listed on a board nearby. I picked medium, neck and shoulders, and 30 minutes for $30. \n\nI was immediately taken to a nearby cubicle type space and was offered to put my purse in a laundry basket. No joke. The lines had a few rust stains and I hesitated for a second, but I was desperate to get some relief. So I laid down-you stay in your clothes. He focussed right into my trouble spot and also somehow manage to squeeze in a full body massage of sorts into 30 minutes. You can tell the Eastern approach as he often worked along Meridian lines. During the massage I could over hear other employees chatting as well as what I think was a washing machine. My massage therapist also left twice during my massage when he heard the door chime that someone had entered. Um, okay. He was good at what he did and used a few different techniques then suddenly just said \"done.\"\n\nWhile checking out I was given a small water bottle and a punchcard with which you can earn a free 20 minute massage. I'm not sure I'll be back but he did get me the relief I so badly needed this morning!"^^ . "0"^^ . "2015-08-22T00:00:00"^^ . . . "2"^^ .
