"I was referred to Fit for a Bride from the place I purchased my dress. I was extremely disappointed in the alterations they completed on my dress and this place is expensive!! Upon putting on my dress for what was supposed to be a final fitting, I was stunned at the lack of quality and the mistakes made on my dress. The owner, Debi, was not the one to do the alterations, which would've been ok, if the dress was properly altered. The alterations seemed to be made by amateurs. I assumed the owner was highly experienced and skilled. I don't believe that my dress was altered in the same manner she would've done herself. The biggest and most troubling issue was that they cut my dress TOO SHORT. They cut my lace wedding dress at least 2 inches too short!! I had wedding heels on for my pinning and when I tried it on after alterations, it was too short WITHOUT my shoes on. Debi (the owner) did the pinning. Someone in her company made a huge mistake. Debi came out with scraps of my lace dress they cut off and said we can sew it back on. I wanted to cry. You can't sew back on lace and make it look seamless like it should be. She had it sewn back on and it was definitely obvious. It is in all my wedding pictures. Just a terrible job!\n\nThere were other issues. The sleeves did not match, one was tighter than the other. Each sleeve had at least 2 inches of lace showing underneath the lace sleeve - basically they did not clean up the alteration. It looked tacky because you can see it through the lace. The boning was a mess. The bra cups were awkward. They fixed some of those mistakes. However, on my wedding day, one sleeve kept falling the entire day and that's in some pictures as well. The seamstress still didn't follow instructions on my belt. My dress was not complicated, no bustling, no reconstruction - just a simple taking in on the sleeves and hemming at the bottom and they pretty much didn't do anything right. \n\nThe real kicker at the end was Debi's \"discount\". When I initially went in, she \"included a 10%\" discount, which was whatever for me. When I went to pick up my dress after all her work was \"completed\", she was in the middle of offering a customer getting an estimate a 30% discount. Apparently, if they screw up your dress they charge more. \n\nI definitely wouldn't recommend Fit for a Bride, a wedding dress costs too much to chance it getting damaged at this shop. I feel bad having to write this review, but I think ladies should take this into consideration if deciding on their services."^^ . "1"^^ . . . "0"^^ . . "1"^^ . "3"^^ . "2017-10-26T00:00:00"^^ .
