"I won't purchase here again. \n\nI bought glasses here this year to replace a beloved pair that I had had for 8 years. My old pair had been glued multiple times at the joint and finally taped until plastic broke off and I was forced to get a new pair. I just really liked those glasses. They were ultra lightweight and thin and never got a scratch, plus I liked the look.\n\nMy purchasing experience here was good, I was happy with my sales person she was very nice. I was also really keen to get a coating to block blue light suggested by my salesperson. She explained that I couldn't get the very thinnest lens if I wanted the the blue light blocking but that the lens should be still be very thin.\n\nWell I was fairly shocked when I saw them as the lenses bulge out in that coke bottle look. They are also quite heavy. But the deal breaker is that they are very verrrrry fragile.\n\nI found a scratch on one of the (plastic) lenses. However, I did not drop them. It is possible that my cleaning lady may have dropped them although she did not report it to me. Given that they were brand new, I rather hoped it was a coating defect. \n\nWhen I returned to the store, the guy I talked to INSISTED that my glasses had suffered a hard knock and that I would have to pay $100 to replace the lens, which was their discounted 'replacement' price.\n\nSince then however, I called the store where I got my trusty old pair that served me so well for so long and in style... no less with never a scratch, super thin lenses, weighed next to nothing...it was Cohen's Fashion Optical in Jersey City NJ.\n\nI had in fact dropped my old pair a bunch of times and I often left them sit around...out of their case and they never got scratches. \n\nThey told me the type of lens that I used to have and that they could put a blue light blocking coating on if I wanted. I'm going to wait because I have now spent maybe $650 +/- at least, at New Look. Forced to buy a new lens for my brand new glasses after they insisted it was my fault (or my cleaning lady's), like we had hurled them on the ground on purpose.\n\nMoving on, when I picked up my lenses, the lady in the back started 'adjusting' them so they would fit better and I didn't stop her in time. But in fact she made them much too tight.\n\nThey were uncomfortable to wear, especially for a few hours so I didn't wear them much until I finally made it back to discuss the scratch on the lens... Well there is a guy in the fitting area who did a great job fitting the glasses. They haven't hurt since. I haven't had to go back though I still need to pick up my replacement lens.\n\nAnyways, once I go get this lens it concludes my relationship with New Look. I won't be buying any future replacement lenses. Next time I need a lens or new glasses, I'm getting the same kind of lens as my old pair because it is so much better. \n\nI think that I should have been warned to be extremely careful with my glasses and to keep them in their case at all times when not in use which is what I do now."^^ . .
