Food and experience was FABULOUS.\n\nOur menus read \"Happy Birthday Crystal\" on the top, a nice touch. Our server was great: explained the menu, options, etc very well and recommended a great wine. Apparently Tuesdays are also 1/2 off bottles of wine (under $150), so we ended up ordering 2 bottles and bringing most of the 2nd bottle home with us. \n\nI am a vegetarian, so I asked about their \"vegetarian options available upon request.\" He said just to let him know what I liked/didn't like and the chef would surprise me with something. So we both ended up ordering the 5-course Spontaneous Chef's Tasting Menu ($55) -- I got a vegetarian selection and my husband got a meat selection. This was an excellent choice because we both got 5 different plates and were able to share/taste each others foods/sauces. (And although I didn't try any of his meats, I certainly tried EVERYTHING else!)\n\nCourse 1: Couscous salad on top an heirloom tomato with a jalapeno aioli. YUM. He had scallops with a jalapeno sauce along with watermelon and apple. Great combo of sweet + spicy. \n\nCourse 2: Tempura asparagus on a barley and roasted red pepper sauce. My favorite out of all my courses! He had herb crusted salmon. He is not a huge salmon lover, but he said this one was delicious.\n\nCourse 3: A wild mushroom salad with a potato stack with aged balsamic. He had a prosciutto wrapped Greek salad with a creamy butternut sauce.\n\nCourse 4: A pesto gnocchi with heirloom tomatoes with smoked black sea salt. YUMM. He had lamb with potatoes and a mushroom-wine reduction sauce. \n\nCourse 5 Dessert: A raspberry empanana with a lemon creme sauce. YUM. The pastry was so buttery and delicious! He had the creme brule which had the perfect crust. \n\nOverall a very good meal and very good service. It was a bit pricey ($250/ 2 people), but expected, and worth it."^^ . "5"^^ . "0"^^ .
