After multiple rounds of antibiotics the pediatrician referred us to Valley ENT. We took the first available appointment which was with Dr. Chuang. He was personable and explained why he wanted to wait & see if his ears would drain given that it's summer time and there aren't many colds going around. Two colds & one month later, we were back to see Dr. Chuang who agreed that if my son was still getting colds in July, the winter would be even worse and that tubes were reasonable given the number of different antibiotics he had been on that had made no improvement. Surgery at the ASC was a breeze, we were astounded how quickly we were in and out and our son was his happy smiling self by the afternoon. We just had our follow-up and Dr. Chuang confirmed the tubes are nicely in place. \n\nWe had one appointment at the Warner location and two at the Frye/Dobson office. At no appointment did we wait more than 15 minutes to see the doctor, however, it's probably worth noting that I scheduled our appointments no later than 8:30am. My impression of Dr. Chuang is that he is personable, listens (he types notes as he listens which does not bother me), is thorough, and takes a thoughtful approach to treating children. He is not a pushy, scalpel-happy doctor and I appreciate that he gave us various options to try. \n\nI deducted one star because I had difficulty contacting the office for a prescription on a Friday. I started calling the office on Friday, late morning, (left a voicemail per the instructions) and also sent an email to the MA begging for the Rx to be called in prior to the weekend. I got a call back Monday morning that they had just called in the Rx. I'm sure they deal with high call volumes on Fridays but I had hoped that since I called before lunch time I would be able to get the Rx called in before they closed that day."^^ .
