The first few times we ate there, the food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We also went to their Happy Hour upstairs in the lounge several times, where the menu during happy hour has a great selection of appetizers and they have special prices on drinks. \n\nHowever, it seems lately that Bobby's is going downhill. We've actually left a couple times recently because no one ever waited on us in the bar. Tonight, it seemed like the staff were far more interested in talking to each other than seeing if their customers were enjoying their visit.\n\nWhile I still think the food is very good, for the prices that you'll pay to eat at Bobby's, you can go to Morton's or the Capital Grill, where you'll get top notch service and feel like a valued customer, not someone who is taking the servers away from chatting with each other. It's also been rather disappointing that at least 3 or 4 times recently, we've stopped by to have a drink and an appetizer only to find out that a private party had reserved the entire lounge. I'm surprised they do that so regularly. \n\nThe lounge could also use an update. It is starting to look like something out of an Austin Power's movie, with the groovy red lights and the bead curtains. I think a fresher look would make it far more appealing.\n\nWe've opted lately to go elsewhere when we are in the mood for a really fine dinner, largely because of the rather indifferent service and if I'm going to pay around $150 for dinner for two people, I'd rather go somewhere that has a more appealing ambiance and a more welcoming attitude."^^ .
