"I was required to stay at the Pittsburgh Crowne Plaza for a business meeting in the hotel.\n\nI requested a quiet room off the main corridor but am placed next to the elevators.\nIt is not a problem to move as the hotel is largely empty, but this tells me alot about the way the place is managed.\n\nThe suites are large but poorly maintained.\n\nThe carpet in my room is stained.\n\nI clearly see a prior occupant's glitter makeup scattered on the carpet under the living room table, which violates the prime directive of all well operated hotels, which is to make each guest to feel they are the first to occupy the room.\n\nThe bath tub drain is stopped up so it fills with water when I am taking a shower.\nThe tub surround is cheap melamine panel, not tile.\n\nThe worst part of the experience is the room air conditioning.\nIt switched on at 4:30 am at a 60 decibels noise level and stayed on for an hour.\nThis ruined my sleep.\n\nFinally, topping off my negative experience at the Pittsburgh Crowne Plaza - the desk clerk refuses to honor the free breakfasts that had been included with my room reservation.\n\nGiven that every statement made in this review is factual and not exaggerated, why would you want to stay at this hotel?"^^ . .
