"Please read all of this if you are considering moving here.\n\nI know a lot of you are probably coming here because you were referred by a realtor or you're intrigued by the prices. I was in the same boat and I'm here to put a warning out about this place. \n\nTwo months ago I was referred to a realtor to help me find a apartment that was in my price range and would work with my credit. I reached out to Valley King Realty and was assigned to a woman named Mary. I paid $15 for a prescreening and she matched me with this apartment complex, Sierra Ranch. \n\nI looked at Sierra Ranch's website and it looked really nice and I had no doubt that it would be a great place to live. I never even questioned it. \n\nOn the day that I was scheduled to go tour Sierra Ranch, I decided to take a look at the Yelp reviews first. I was horrified. The main picture on the Yelp page was a bug infested carpet and an article about a dead body found on the property. I immediately was very concerned. \n\nI texted the realtor and expressed my concerns about Sierra Ranch and she assured me that it was just a bunch of disgruntled renters who were probably evicted and were trying to discredit the complex. \n\nBecause I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, I went and toured the complex.\n\nThe first stop we made was the pool, which is closed...indefinitely. She said it was closed because it has a crack and that they are working on fixing it.\n\nThe first apartment she showed me looked nothing like the apartments on the website. I asked why it looked so different and she said \"oh those pictures on the website are the upgraded apartments, they don't all look like that\" which I was pretty disappointed about and felt very mislead. \n\nNext I asked her when a studio would be available and if I signed a lease when I could move from a one bedroom to a studio, as that is what I originally was looking for. She replied \"The owners don't let the tenants downgrade. Sorry. I don't make the rules\".\n\nI was approved but I decided to go home and do a little more research on the place and see what I could find. \n\nI called the leasing office to ask them about the bug infestation that I kept reading about and she said \"we have 560 tenants and we've only had 7 complaints this month so it's getting better\".\n\nThat was on the 7th, so apparently only one complaint about bug infestations per day is a win for them. \n\nI also asked about the Yelp reviews and she said the exact same thing that the realtor said which was that they were disgruntled evicted former tenants. \n\nI knew the only way to get truthful answers would be to contact former or current tenants myself...I just had to figure out how.\n\nI found people on social media who had tagged photos in that apartment complex and sent them personal messages asking them about their experience living there. \n\nThe responses confirmed that every single review on this Yelp page are 100% true. \n\nBug infestations, very poor management, terrible maintenance service, harassment, internet never works and very poorly kept buildings...the list goes on.\n\nThe screenshots speak for themselves, I've attached them to this review.\n\nThanks to social media and some truly honest reviews written to me personally, I dodged probably one of the biggest bullets of my life.\n\nI later found out that the realtor that referred me was heavily commissioned by Sierra Ranch and they were working together to get more people to live there. \n\nWhich explains why the realtor was constantly hounding me with texts asking if I had ran my credit there or toured the property. It also explains why she ghosted me after I said I wasn't interested in Sierra Ranch and wanted to hear my other options. \n\nThe leasing office also hounded me to make a decision. \n\nAt first I was told that I had 3 days to hold an apartment after I ran my credit. And then the day I ran it I was told they needed an answer by 6pm that same day. And then the next day I was told I needed to decided by 12pm. When I asked what happened to the 48 hour hold, she changed her story and said it was a 24 hour hold. She continued to call me and leave me voicemails saying I needed to hurry and make a decision because there was a lot of other people who wanted the apartment and she needed to know now. \n\nIt was insanely high pressure and it made me super uncomfortable. \n\nThis entire experience was really weird to say the least and I'm really happy I trusted my instinct and steered clear of that place. \n\nI've never lived there, I wasn't evicted, I wasn't denied a lease... I have no reason to leave an untruthful review. I simply did my research and I'm only here to clarify that these reviews are true. \n\nThese reviewers are not liars, the leasing office staff are the deceptive ones. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you to move in. Whatever you do, do not trust these people. \n\nAll I have to say is STAY FAR AWAY! \n\nI've done all the leg work for you. \n\nYou're welcome."^^ . "1"^^ .
