I've been going since the 1980s. I could go on and on about all my great memories and all it has to offer, but this review is about the newly renovated Terrace, which opened a few days ago.\n\nIt's a vast sea of concrete. \n\nIf you look at old pictures of the Terrace, you'll see that there has always been some green. There were more trees (and more mature trees), and grass. But every \"renovation\" has meant fewer plants.\n\nDuring construction, as they were pouring the new foundations I was speculating which parts would be flowerbeds or lawn, and which parts would be for seating. But it turns out, it's *all* for seating. I can imagine the planning meeting they probably had, where someone pointed out the revenue benefits of seating an additional 250 people, rather than including some flower beds and trees.\n\nTo anyone who plans the landscaping, PLEASE do something. Sitting on a 40,000 square foot slab of concrete just isn't good for you. Plant some trees... Add about 300 large flower urns... Anything!"^^ .
