"2017-08-09T00:00:00"^^ . "We've taken our son here several times in the last few years. The staff is always super nice and professional, but the way they bill for procedures and their sedation policy is absurd. My son had two silver caps put on last year, costing us about $400 out of pocket after the insurance portion. When he went for his check up this year, we were told he has an infection in both teeth now and needs to have them pulled, with another estimated out of pocket expense of $200. This didn't sit well with me, so I got a second opinion at a family dentist and was told that #1-he doesn't need to be sedated to have them pulled (It's apparently Kids R Kool's policy to sedate), #2-while the capped teeth do show a small sign of infection, it doesn't warrant them being pulled since he was already given an antibiotic for them and #3-IF they were to be pulled it could cause issues in the future for the adult teeth coming in (potential for a spacer, crooked teeth, etc). NONE of this was explained at Kids R Kool-it was \"we need to pull the teeth and use sedation\" and that's it. The teeth that were capped shouldn't come out until 10-12 years old, my son is 6. Now-as far as the specific billing-Kids R Kool wanted to charge me $200 (in addition to whatever they would have billed my insurance company), the family dentist cost was $48. HUGE difference in pricing. When I called to have my appointment cancelled and his medical records transferred, they were efficient in doing that. It's really eye opening to see how much pediatric dentists charge for things that can be done way cheaper at a family dentist. For those reading this review-get a second opinion if Kids R Kool wants to sedate for anything. You can probably get it done elsewhere for cheaper."^^ . . "0"^^ . "2"^^ . . . "0"^^ . "0"^^ .
