I'd pre-booked a car with Payless but when I wound up arriving at the airport later than expected they'd cancelled my reservation. So I went over to Dollar, where Expedia showed me they had a similar deal ($10/day) to what I'd originally booked with Payless. \n\nInteresting note: Though I could show the Payless employee that the deal still existed online, they said even if I booked it, it wouldn't enter their local system for an hour or two. When I showed Dollar the online deal, they were able to replicate it immediately in their system. Good technology can be the key to good customer service. \n\nThe Dollar customer service was great and very helpful. I don't remember the name of the employee at the desk, but Joey who met us in the parking area and got us our car was super nice and very helpful. The car return process was also very quick and easy. I should say that we were visiting Phoenix in December - the low season - so that probably aided my experience, but I will definitely go straight to Dollar next time I'm at Sky Harbor."^^ . . .
