"Where do renters turn for help? \n\nApparently they go to Arizona Tenants Advocates & Association, which claims to be a \"nonprofit organization that provides guidance to renters who are facing eviction, have inadequate air conditioning, are experiencing difficulties getting repairs done, need to break their leases, and have questions regarding other landlord-tenant issues.\"\n\nA phone call is free. One may call it a complimentary consultation. Instead, I'd say it's a voice on the other end trying to get you off the line as quickly as possible. \n\nOf course I called at 4:30. The female on the other end was probably headed out for happy hour and was bothered by my numerous questions, not to mention my inability to explain my current situation. Turns out she can sure rattle off a few Arizona legal \"facts\" and figures and scare the ever-livin' bejeesus out of me. \n\nMaybe you have to a member to get better service and a more in-depth conversation. Who knows. If that's the case, they could use a better sales tactic than scaring people, even the most level-headed renter like me."^^ . "2"^^ . "4"^^ . "3"^^ .
