"I am admittedly not very knowledgeable about cars so I have outlined my experience below so you can decide for yourself whether you'd like to patronize this NTB location.\n\nI dropped my car off for its annual inspection. A few hours later I get a call outlining the work that needed to be done to pass inspection. The work totaled $600. A little higher than I would have hoped but I didn't give it a second thought and agreed to the services with the technician I spoke with. \n\nThe work I primarily needed done was on my rear brakes. I needed the rotors and pads replaced. An hour later the technician called me back and informed me I would also need to replace my rear calipers which would cost an additional $500. I was taken aback by this given we had already spoken and he had indicated during our initial conversation that no further work would be required to pass inspection.\n\nAt this point I was uneasy given the large increase in proposed charges and wanted a second opinion. The technician informed me because they had already started working on the previous items I agreed to it would cost me $125 to get my car back.\n\nGiven this I agreed to work. They did end up rebating me $100 because I think they realized I was not pleased with the turn of events.Whether intentional or not I felt taken advantage of though which is the reason for the 2 star review.\n\nOne thing I would definitely recommend if you are knowledgeable enough is to purchase your parts off the Internet versus from NTB directly.\n\nI have a 2006 mercury milan and the price difference on the parts I needed to pass inspection is tremendous.\n\nBrake Rotors $69.99 from NTB vs. $25 on the Internet.\nRear brake pads $119.99 from NTB vs. $35 on the Internet.\nRear Calipers $159.99 from NTB vs. $70 on the Internet.."^^ .
