My old car stopped running on me, I towed it home but I didn't want to tow it to a shop to get diagnosed. So that's how I found Carter on Craigslist. He came out to my house and told me the timing belt was busted. He explained my options and I decided to get rid of the car. So I bought a '02 Honda Accord in the winter and this past Wednesday it wouldn't start. I called him up and he came same day and within a couple of hours of calling him. He stopped by the auto parts store to purchase some parts he thought might be wrong with my car. So when he got to my house and realized it was the starter he started working on it right away and finished about an hour later. He charged $300 (for the part and labor) and I was able to head in to work only a few hours late. The car started fine the rest of the day then at night I noticed it started but the way it started wasn't normal, when I got home and turned off my car and tried to start it again it wouldn't start. I tried it again a couple of minutes later and it started again. So in the morning it started and I headed in to work, when I got to work I turned my car off and tried to start it again but it wouldn't. Since I know nothing about cars I called him about it and he came by my job (no charge) to take a look, turns out the battery cables needed to be cleaned up a bit and my car has been starting fine since.\n\nCarter is an awesome guy, being a woman I hate talking to mechanics because most of the time they're just blowing smoke and overcharging, but he doesn't make me feel that way. He doesn't take advantage or makes you feel cheated. My dad was a really good mechanic and always helped me with car problems but he passed away in 2010. I may not know about cars but I've dealt with some crappy mechanics since 2010. Thanks to my gut feeling none of them have actually stolen my money cause I didn't use their services. But it is a huge weight off my shoulders to find a mechanic I can trust. And it's super convenient that he comes to your car! I'm so glad my experiences with him have been great and now I have a \"go-to\" mechanic. :)"^^ .
