I contact the restaurant by phone--got a curt \"This is a bad time to talk!\" reply from the owner. \"No big deal,\" I thought to myself. \"It's Friday, it's probably busy. Try again at a better time.\"\n\nDear readers, that better time never came.\n\nTwo emails and a phone call later, I finally managed to speak with someone. I booked the dinner and asked for a confirmation. Nothing. Two weeks pass and I check in on said confirmation. Nothing. Another week passes and I decide to email to cancel.
