I wanted a place near the hotel and really just picked Styles by Cardamone purely by chance.\n\nI had to change the appointment after booking it and they were so kind to fit me in early so I could make the commitments I had for that day after all my plans were changed.. I arrived, then, bright and early to meet Ashley, the nail tech. I am not one to gush over a mani-pedi but she is excellent! I chose nothing fancy for the pedi (I cannot have hot stones or sugar rubs), just wanted to a nice trim up and beautiful polish to coordinate with the fingers - and Ashley recommended an OPI polish, Every Month is Oktoberfest. OMG - can you fall in love with a nail color? I had a simple black dress with silver and black jewelry - and that deep purple with a bit of a sparkle was just perfect. Back to the pedi - she was so careful in trimming cuticles that the toes looked glorious and were so happy that they weren't over-cut. Heels were smooth and just lovely when she was done. \n\nThen came the mani. Here is where she absolutely shines. I have been getting gel/shellac for years. And I am sitting here with two-week old gel that not only has not chipped but - and here is the biggie for me - is growing out neatly. Seriously. Have you ever had your nails done and as they grow out, you realize how sometimes the nail polish seems to shrink and the bottom and sides seem a little ragged and uneven? And, especially with a dark polish, you can't go past two weeks because they look really bad?? Not these nails. They are perfect along the edges. I can honestly say I have never ever had that happen since I left the 'burgh. I offered to move Ashley out here but, alas, she was not biting :( \n\nOn top of that, she was more than reasonable - a mani-pedi for $75. \n\nI would recommend booking with Ashley if you are in the area. She is very talented. She takes time to do an amazing job as she takes a lot of pride in her work."^^ .
