"I love Carribean food... there aren't many options for it in Phoenix so I was happy to see it in passing one day. I decided to try it for lunch today... \n\nThe place is in desperate need of a face lift the door panels and walls are dirty and dusty, the furniture is patio furniture. I mean I get it the palm tree print, wick kinda feels islandy... but its tacky. The tables and chairs are not really restaurant furniture so I felt like I was sitting really far away from my lunch buddy. \n\nThere are exposed wires, packages, bulk cans everywhere near the register and a little jewelry booth next to the register? And the cash register was really dusty.\n\nThe gentleman that helped us didn't do a lot of speaking, and the poor guy had no credit card swiper, he had to manually enter our credit card numbers which slowed us down a lot.\n\nI was really excited about the food, I got Jerk Chicken, and with that comes cabbage and rice and beans and after looking at my lunch buddies plate (who got the same thing) also comes with fried bananas, which my plate was missing. ugh. I also got a Chicken Patty. \n\nThe jerk chicken was not very jerky at all, there was some flavor there but it was extremely mild. the chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The rice and beans was moist and flavorful, the cabbage was crisp and refreshing. The fried bananas (I tried my buddy's) were sweet and fried to perfection. The chicken patties were.. meh. It was probably 3x3 in size and only had a small piece of chicken :/ mostly curry and seasoning. \n\nOverall the food was good. I will eat here again, to go maybe or even for lunch to sit down. \n\nSomeone needs to do some deep cleaning, maybe organize the supplies and register a little better, the jerk chicken needs more jerk and get the cashier a credit card swiper!"^^ . .
