They also bought Merrill Lynch at the time for the same reasons too. \n\nDoes anyone remember this? It's only been 3-4 years since this happen. \n\nA lot of \"subprime loans\" on the books before the CEO of Countrywide took off with millions and milliions of dollars and smiled back at the rest of the world at his ransom. He got away with having an \"ugly tan\" and money to start another bank if he wanted to. \n\nBefore the Great Depression in 2008, most people had no clue what a \"subprime loan\" was. Only bankers, mortgage people, and some real estate agents who did loans knew what that terminology was. I might of left others out, but you get the point. \n\nBank of America is a crook at the highest level. Believe it. Don't be blind to it. I could write a 10 page yelp review on them easily. \n\nEveryone(the idiots in society) blames Bush, Reagan, or Obama for our economic problems. \n\nNobody blames Clinton, but he \"DE-REGULATED THE BANKS\". You yelpers don't remember that??? Clinton pushed for and signed every damn deregulatory measures he could get his hands on. \n\nThe 1999 law Clinton signed repealing the Depression Era Glass-Steagall Act is one of many deregulations. Look it up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramm%E2%80%93Leach%E2%80%93Bliley_Act\n\n\nPlease just google \"what caused the recession of 2008\" and read up on the banking issues. \n\nThe common people or the \"idiots\" with an IQ of a monkey needs to stop listening to everything that the politicians tell us and do your own damn \"RESEARCH\".\n\nIt's call \"THINKING\". \n\n Do it sometime. \n\nDon't be a \"drone\" who believes everything they hear in the media, the clueless co-worker, or what have you."^^ . .
