. "It's painful to give a 3-star rating to a place that is highly anticipated with great expectations. First time I ever bought Daan Go's macarons was at an Art event and since then, I've been anticipating the grand opening of this place. When it finally opened a few months ago, I waited a bit before I stepped foot in the store to try their goods.\n\nI finally decided to try this place out (macarons and cake) this past weekend. First we'll start with the macarons. Presentation wise, I totally jumped on the bandwagon and picked up all the characters that I thought looked adorable. If you're getting it as a gift for someone, it'd definitely put a smile on someone's face! On the flip side, the macarons appeared and felt a bit dry when I took them out of the box (about an hour after the purchase time). Flavours resembled what they should taste like but I was hoping for more of a 'wow' factor.\n\nNext, I bought the 315 cake. It was a flavour recommended by one of Daan Go's die hard fans so I went for it. Presentation wise, it looked cute - macarons decorated on top, layered cake with Hk milk tea and coffee cream in between. Taste wise...I prefer my cakes a bit more moist so I found this cake to be on the dry side. The cream was a tad too heavy for my liking and unfortunately, the flavour between milk tea and coffee was inconsistent (some bites were way too strong while other bites had very little taste).\n\nI'm hoping this was just the one off, I'd love to give it another shot perhaps in a few months' time when things are really on track and the consistency of quality is assured..."^^ .
