Classes are drop-in and it's easy to register online. There are no annoying hidden fees when you purchase your membership, that other gyms have. The idea is great, the execution is far from being perfect, mainly because recently they started packing classes with so many people those tiny basement rooms with no windows just cannot fit in. \n\nI understand the business is tired of people cancelling last-minute so the owner loses money but increasing the class capacity from 10 to 20+ and eventually letting everyone on the waitlist in as well- that's insane. Last week I was registered for the class and chose to wait for 25 min for the next one because when I walked into the room there was no space to STAND, and we are not talking even about holding dumbbells or placing a mat.\n\nThe yoga class today had 20+ people in the class fitting in 12 max. The instructor ended up walking the entire time and TALKING us through the postures because there was no way we could see her and she gave up her mat space to one of the attendees. It was not physically possible to squeeze in another mat for the instructor. \n\nConsidering membership cost is on the high end of scale, around 80-90 dollars a month, and YMCA is just a short walk away, the openly greedy attitude of the business is just disappointing. It's disrespecting clients as well as disrespecting their staff who have to work in such conditions."^^ . "2"^^ .
