"If we were truly directed by your staff to be seen by Dr. Snead at the After Hours Facility, then we would not have gone down the street to another Animal Hospital unfamiliar with Bella, minutes after being instructed by your staff to return the next morning. Our intention was to be seen by Bella's veterinarian, Dr. Snead, whom we loved to work with and trust completely. He is an excellent doctor.

Here was our reply to the original message from the veterinary technician:

The combative tone you've taken in your reply to our review is precisely the one that you should not take with anyone, especially not clients. You discredit yourself when calling us liars multiple times, meanwhile, having a skewed and contradictory recollection of events. We were off to a worrisome start with your lack of an explanation for our dogs condition and the assumption that we should receive our information on a potentially life threatening disease from the internet. This is also the first time where you contradict yourself by claiming that you thoroughly explained Pyometra, however, you clearly state in your reply that you thought that we would look up the condition. For whatever reason, circumventing your role as a supposedly caring veterinary technician that would take the time to explain the condition to us. To further add insult to injury, upon arrival at Valle Verde, we were told that our dog could be seen, but after an almost two hour wait, we were rejected a much needed evaluation, wasting precious time. In addition, we were never actually recommended to an After Hours Facility. We were, in fact, told to come back the next day at 9 A.M. to complete blood work and were given rough estimates of the cost of surgery, blood work, and ultrasound. We were hoping for the possibility to be able to breed our dog because of her rare lineage supported by her documented bloodline. Needless to say, we were unable to find a suitable breeding partner for our dog, which is why we were reluctant to spay her beforehand. However, faced with a life threatening decision, we indeed took responsibility and brought her to another Animal Hospital, where she proceeded to get the care that she required. Thirty minutes after leaving Valle Verde we paid $2,204.00 (in cash/debit not credit) to get surgery for her Pyometra.

Perhaps when you say that "I am sick and tired of people saying we are in this field for the money and don't care about their animals!!" you should change your business practices to reflect the feedback of a multitude of customers.

Instead of bickering back and forth, let us establish the facts of the day in question:

Did the doctor return our call? NO
Did you send us to do research for Pyometra on the internet? YES
Were we told we could be seen by the doctor? YES
Did we wait nearly two hours to be seen? YES
Was our dog seen? NO
Were we told to return the next day at 9 A.M.? YES
Were we given estimates for the bloodwork, surgery, and ultrasound?
