When I first entered, things were ok; however, the ambiance was mediocre--tile floors, dingy light, etc.\n\nThe owner told me once I was in the room with my feet in the water that it would cost and extra $18 to remove the shellac, which I said I was not used to being charged. She insisted it was normal and that I'm probably used to going to 'oriental places' which is not the same as her place. We later agreed to just do my feet since I wouldn't have anything to remove. She then disappeared for awhile to find things to 'educate' me on the industry and when I told her I wasn't interested (I'm here to relax, get my nails done, then leave...not learn about nail salon business), she became angry, forceful, and again made some racial slurs about oriental salons all over town not being the same as hers and told me to get out. It was surprising given that we already agreed I'd only get my toes done and I did not come in for a business lesson.\n\nIf you want to be insulted, waste your time to travel, and make your day about the owner, come to this place. My advice to the owner is to have a more client-centered business rather than an egocentric one. Those 'oriental' places you referred to are much cleaner with a nicer ambiance than your place. Your reasoning that it's a medical clinic does not make sense. You don't need a medical degree to do nails.\n\n Update: I also found that past reviews (beyond what Yelp shows) were very poor. It's very shocking that it got such low ratings but is hidden."^^ . "2"^^ . .
