"My wife and I had planned a date night and in an attempt to surprise her, I was trying to find a place to crash for the night so as not to have to make the drive home after having a few drinks. It was to be a big surprise for her. I had packed a change of clothes for her, gathered all of her make up, like literally, ALL of it. I have no idea what she actually needs, so I grabbed it all. We were supposed to meet after we both got off work, so she was just thinking we'd be headed home for the evening. I was excited to have planned something fun for her. \n\nBut alas, it seemed everyplace was either sold out or a little overpriced for just a single night. This includes the Best Western Hoover Dam. The website gave a resounding \"No rooms available for your dates\" message. But, our date night included dinner and drinks at the restaurant on property, The Tap (check out my review of them too), I was hoping to be able to make it a one stop date, so I decided to call the location itself. I'm so glad I did. \n\nJeff answered the phone and was absolutely phenomenal. At first it seemed I was out of luck, but he wouldn't just take the computers word for it. He dug a little deeper and found that they did in fact have a room available. I gave him the rundown of what I had planned and he was genuinely excited that he had the ability to be able to help me out. We had a wonderful conversation. \n\nNeedless to say, my wife was very excited when we got to The Tap, and I took her to check in at the hotel. \n\nChecking in was quick and easy. The lobby is very nice and well laid out. They have \"Go Bags\" each morning with a water and a light snack for their guests. A really nice touch. My wife said it was just right to get her moving in the morning as she had to attend a meeting straight away. I forget the lady's name who checked us in, but she was absolutely wonderful. \n\nThe entire hotel has just completed a remodel. The rooms are awesome. Hardwood and tile floors. Flatscreen tv's. Full sized mini fridge, a microwave, AND single serve coffee maker. We had a double queen room. It was vey clean. The AC works great and the light canceling drapes are perfect. The mattress slept very well. There wasn't an extra blanket in the closet, but since we weren't using the other bed, we took one from it. Each bed had four pillows. The clock has an accessory cord attached to it that plugs into your phone. I didn't see any USB plugs, but all of the lamps have electrical plugs so finding places for the phones and iPads was no issue. \n\nThe is an enclosed pool and jacuzzi on property, and it looks really nice. We may take a dip next time we stay. \n\nWe had a very good visit and I have found my \"spot\" when we decide to stay the night in BC in the future. Stay here, you won't be sorry you did. \n\nJeff and Co., you guys are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing."^^ .
