Davanti has exceptional food.  Why only 3 stars?  Two main reasons:\n\n1)  Being located smack at the Gateway to Paradise Valley creates expectations of elegance.  So does Davanti's menu.  It's disappointing to walk into what looks and acts like a pizza joint with a really nice bar.\n\n2) They served my chicken raw then charged me for it. They did bring me a replacement chicken.\n\nLeaving out lots of details here, especially of the good stuff, but nothing that hasn't been said before.  Will I go back?
