First of all it's in a really cool location, but also on a somewhat busy road. We sat outside, and were seated quickly on a Friday night. \n\nWe started with the $5 house margaritas using the Yelp deal. They were tasty. Then we got some chips, salsa and beans complementary. The beans were a pleasant surprise. Then we ordered the coconut calamari. It was honestly hard to pick which appetizer to choose...they all sounded amazing. \n\nSo the coconut calamari was probably the best fried calamari we've ever had. It was huge, and perfectly crispy but not overly oily or anything. And the sauce was a spicy lime sauce I think? It was sooo amazing. I'd highly recommend this appetizer over anything else here just because it was so good. \n\nFor the main course, I ordered the fish dish, this time it was a Grouper fish covered in crusted almonds on top of a bed of this corn soupy thing. It was seriously amazing. It was also so different than anything that I'd ever ordered at a Mexican restaurant which is exactly what I was going for. The corn soup thing was like full corn kernels in this creamy salsa ish soup. Yeah it was awesome. \n\nHe ordered the carne asada burrito. It was also really good, he couldn't even finish the whole dish because there was so much food. He loved the meat and the flavors in the burrito. \n\nOverall this place has the portions of your classic Mexican restaurant but literally everything is homemade including all of the 20+ sauces. Highly recommended!!"^^ . . "2018-02-06T00:00:00"^^ . "0"^^ . "5"^^ . "1"^^ .
