It's a bit of a drive from my sister's place in Peoria, but with $100 to spend, we figured we would invite a couple others to dine with us. \n\nThe menu I found online was different than the one they actually were offering - the host explained their menu changes quarterly with different offerings depending on the season, etc. They use a lot of local ingredients.\n\nThe food was delicious. I had a salad, but two of my companions had the burger, which was probably the best burger I've ever eaten. The beef was obviously very fresh and it had a slightly smoky flavor. The brioche bun added to the melt-in-your-mouth texture. I wish I had gotten the burger but I just wasn't that hungry.\n\nI had the veggie chop salad with lots of fresh veggies and a tangy champagne dressing. Quite good. The others had the cast iron chicken which consisted of a 1/2 chicken (minus the wing) over bacon stuffing with mixed vegetables. The sauce was extremely delicious and made an otherwise simple chicken dish very tasty.\n\nThe space was airy and lovely, not pretentious, and the servers were knowledgeable and very friendly.\n\nDinner for five came to just under $100; this is not a cheap place but if you like simple, good food it's worth checking out. Especially for their burger!"^^ .
